About
Foundational for lifelong discipleship is cultivating an authentic relationship with Jesus. The Discipleship Cohort is a ministry of All Saints Church for young adults (ages 21-29) that aims to help you firm up your foundations with the Lord. Our desire is to empower you to grow in friendship with the Lord, discern His voice, and to follow him wherever he leads you. We believe following Jesus is best done in community with others who are pursuing him right there alongside you. Our prayer is that you would tangibly grow in love of God and others as you live in intentional community with your peers.
Discipleship doesn't happen by accident and it can't fit neatly within a model. It's an intentional and organic process of formation into Christ-likeness initiated and led by the Spirit. The twelve whom Jesus called to be his first disciples spent a lot of time sitting at his feet, learning as much as they could from him, asking honest questions, and desiring to integrate the way of Jesus into every area of their lives. We believe the Spirit is inviting us, the church, into the same kind of discipleship today.
The Discipleship Cohort is a unique opportunity to set apart nine-months to intentionally invest in the good work of being formed more into the image of Jesus. Though the content of the program covers a variety of topics/themes, everything we do is aimed at knowing Jesus, receiving his love, and being transformed by his grace.
Who is the Discipleship Cohort for?
The concepts and practices that we explore throughout the year are applicable to everyone, regardless of what season of life you find yourself in. Some participants are pursuing vocational ministry while others are exploring various callings in industry, the academy, or the marketplace. Some are currently living into a clear calling and others are in a season of discernment. Some participants are couples who are dating or married, and other participants are single. Whatever season you're in, the Lord wants to minister to you in the midst of it. Therefore, if you're a young adult who desires deeper connection with the Lord and wants to grow in spiritual, relational, and emotional maturity, then we invite you to apply for this 9-month journey.
What you can expect
Participants are invited into individual and shared rhythms of life. These rhythms are meant to cultivate intimacy with the Lord and foster intentional community with one another. You can expect to engage in the following shared and individual rhythms:

Weekly small group meetings for teaching, discussion, connection, and reflection (2 hours / week)

Consistently spending time with the Lord in worship, prayer, engaging the scriptures, and contemplation

Serving in the life of the church for an average of 8 hours per month

Quarterly 1-on-1's with a mentor who will help you process and discern what the Lord is doing in your story

Committing to a 24-hour, weekly Sabbath
Living in Community
An authentic community isn't just a group of people who see each other for an hour or two every Sunday. It's also not something that happens by accident. Authentic community is a company of people intentionally doing life together. During this program, we want you to embrace God's good design for his people: to live a communal life, to really know, see, and hear one another, and in return be known, seen, and heard. Participants will commit to the following practices:

Regularly eating meals around the table together

Being honest in small group settings about where you're struggling or in need of healing

Practicing healthy communication, offering one another feedback, and committing to resolve conflicts
- Receiving prayer from one another and other trusted prayer ministers
- Hosting (or being hosted by) members of the All Saints' community

Crafting and committing to a corporate rule of life with others in the cohort
01. Communion with Jesus
If participants gain nothing else from their time in the cohort, our prayer is that at the end of the nine months, their relationship with the living God will have grown richer, deeper, and more-honest. The best thing we can devote ourselves to is learning how to truly be with the Lord; to sit at his feet, worship him, learn to hear his voice, and receive his loving ministry to us. Additionally, the cohort is integrated into the corporate worship life of All Saints Church, including Sunday worship gatherings.

Applications for the 2026-2027 Cohort are now live! Acceptance to the program happens on a rolling-basis. After you submit your application, you can expect to hear from someone on our ministry team within 48-hours to set-up an initial interview.
